First of all….I want to wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving (for those of you who are in the US)~  I am not big on the whole Turkey killing part of the festivities…but, I am into the whole pick a bunch of fruit and put them in a pie thing!  So while a large portion of the US is eating turkeys..I am going to be eating potatoes, stuffing and pie:)  YUMMY!

I want to spend some time focusing on gratitude…on positive aspects

…on silver linings.

I invite you to add to this list:)

* Apple pie:)

*  Pumpkin Pie

*  Pie

*  My boys.  I never knew that my heart could be so big until I had kids…now my boys are young men and when I see them, my breath is taken away by how amazing they are.  They are both so brilliant, ceative, funny, handsome…filled with ideas and dreams.  It is such an honor to share parts of their journey with them.

*  My fella. He is an amazing man who is so talented, funny, playful…interesting…smart…creative…light- hearted being.  He is also intense, crazy, grumpy, moody…I love the variety which is him.  Its an honor…a joy…a heart filled experience… to be in partnership with my fella.

*  My friends. I have so many amazing friends.  They sprinkle around the world…some are in California, some in Idaho:), some in Colorado…some are in England, some are in Australia…I love being connected to the world through friendships.  What a gift.  What fun.  My friends are my life line through thick and thin.  Some come into my life for a little while…some stay for years.  What a gift~

*  My crazy dog Elly.  I love our dog.  She is crazy.  She has taught me how to love unconditionally;)

*  All of the folks that I have the honor to work with…the ones in the present…the ones from the past.  I learn so much when I work with people.  It is such an amazing experience to share in another souls journey~

*  This whole insurance thing.  *Here is where an interesting silver lining comes in:  even though the insurance company has decided not to pay my claim…and because of that we are filing for bankruptcy…we have come to a very peaceful place (most days:)).  We will have no more debt.  We have recommitted to being in our home and staying here.  We have committed to simplifying our lives.  We have energetically re-invested in our community, in our friends, in our local world.  Feels pretty darned tootin good!

*  I am so very grateful that Barak Obama won the presidency.  My heart feels much lighter.  I feel hopeful that we can turn our country around: economically, environmentally and globally (and so much more).  We will get out of this war and we will go back to supporting diversity rather than trying to homogenize the world.

* I am so grateful to be free of most all of the physical pain I was in.  I rarely have IC symptoms.  My body is getting stronger and stronger.  My stamina is gently blossoming~ by spring…might just be in full bloom!

I invite you to add to this rampage of appreciation:)  Its lots and lots of fun and it feels great!

People often ask me how they can change their lives.

I will tell you what I tell them.

Find things to be grateful for.  Find the positive aspects of people, places and things.  Look for the silver linings.  As often as you can.   If you are in a rough place…ask yourself “What would soothe me right now?”  When you find that soothing place…acknowledge yourself for knowing how to soften your experience.  Do this as often as you can.  Watch how your life will transform.

Its magic.

So, have a magically gratitude filled holiday~

Peace to you and to your life~
