So, my faithful readers…I begin this week by plunging into writing a 6 word clump on shopping for a particular item.

I know you know what I am talkin about.

And since I have been postponing this whole event for a few years now (last year I wore shorts and an old tee shirt into the pool)!

…this is the year.

That.

I.

Have.

To.

Buy.

A frickin bathing suit!!!!!

I have been lookin at catalogues.

I have been lookin on line.

Hopin’ that I could find something that I could try on with out going into a store.  And I know you know what I am talkin about.

The mirrors.

Suck.

Well, actually…so do the bathing suits!

But alas, I gotta do it.  Cuz I don’t have wads of cash to pay all of the return postage for the bathing suits that won’t fit me….cuz most of them don’t.

The tops are always too big.

And the bottoms….are a nightmare.

So, I am bracing myself for this experience.

I have even done some tappin on this 😉

Anyone else out there have to purchase one of these things this year?  Wanna go to the stores together?  I will bring the valium!

Okay…enough stalling…here is my 6 word clump on shopping for a bathing suit:

Bakini? Takini? One piece? Seriously? UGH!

Your turn :)

  1. I hate it when people make a big deal about bathing suits and how they will look. I know we all want to look and feel our best but seriously when you get out in the sun, immerse your body in the water, swim a few laps and get your heart pumping….are you really thinking ‘does my butt look big in this?’

  2. If you tan like I do, in ragged patches that look like a quilt, then no one is lookin’ at how that suit looks on your body. They are trying to figure out if they should be feeling sorry for a burn victim. There is some pain involved, but it is an effective distraction.

  3. Hey Tara~ It is so cool that you are able to just go out and play in the water and not worry about the whole bathing suit thing. I on the other hand feel a wee bit self conscious~ I want to be like you when I grow up :)

  4. Hey Erin! I guess we all have our insecurities. All of us fabulously gorgeous babe-a-roos…still feel self conscious. Weird. Bathing suits seem to bring this out in a lot of us. Hmmmmmmmm…..

  5. I don’t know if you have a Target store near you, but, I was in one a couple of weeks ago, and noticed that they were selling tops and bottoms of bathing suits separately, So you can get the size that fits your parts. And the prices weren’t bad either. Just a thought.

You still have to contend with the bad lighting and those dreadful mirrors. Leave your glasses at home – everything will look better, blurry.

  6. Thanks Chance! I found something fabulous (or I hope it will be) through “Title Nine.” Will let ya know how it goes :)
