Hi there!

It’s another gorgeous day here in Colorado…clear crisp skies.  Birds are a chirpin’…bunnies are a hoppin’…and I am sittin here freakin’ out!

I did a practice radio show with my friend Christine yesterday.  She sounded so calm and together.  Her voice was smooth, her words clear…and her sentences made sense.

Not me.

My “s’s” sound very lispy and my voice did not sound calm.  In fact, it had a sort of shutter to it!  My words sort of made sense and when I laughed it was close to a cackle.

Uh-oh!

Doing this radio show is an edge.  Or a cliff…which I have fallen off of.  Or maybe it’s more like a bleeding edge.  Whatever ya wanna call it…this decision to do this is a huge hurtle for me.  I have been working to get over this anxiety/fear since I was young.  We are talking a long long long long long time! And here I am again…braving this cliff.

The desire to get over this fear is huge for me. Freedom is one of my top values…in fact, it is my top value.  And this whole “scared to do anything public” really imposes too much restraint to my freedom loving self.  I want to be free to CHOOSE whether I do something or not, from the place of freedom…not from the place of avoidance of fear.

So, dear brilliant readers,  what is your edge?

What is the experience that you have always wanted but you have been afraid of?

Many times these desires are hiding a bit.  They are secrets that we keep from ourselves because the perceived risk seems to high.

So…what is your secret edge?

Look to the big things and the little things.  The mind blowing experiences and the small experiences.

You know that you have an edge when part of you really wants this and another part of you is screaming “no flippin way!!!!”  It is a big ol’ paradox!

Have fun freakin out!

I think this is such a beautiful post…just wanted to share it with you :)

“My mother once said to me, “When one sees the tree in leaf one thinks the beauty of the tree is in its leaves, and then one sees the bare tree.””  Samuel Menashe

I love trees.  The ones in my own yard feel like friends, loyal friends.  I can count on them greeting me and mine at the opening of blinds each morning and then standing watch in the dark while we sleep.  Once lightening struck our grand willow.  I cried at its breaking and rejoiced at learning that half of her could be saved. (more…)

As some of you know we have a crazy dog and her name is Elly.  She is a Blue Heeler.  Some how the wires were crossed in her brain and she has fear/aggression.  What this means is that if you were to come over to my house, I would first ask you if you mind dealing with the rules that you would need to follow in order to keep you safe from her biting you.

Rule #1: Do NOT put your hands down.  If you do…she will reach up and nip at them!

Rule #2: Do NOT try and pet her…even if she is looking at you with adoring eyes…she will still freak out and bite you! (more…)

Chug. Chug. Chug.

Puff. Puff. Puff.

Ding-dong, Ding-Dong.

The little ovary was a busy little bee.  Working hard to do this, that, and the other thing.  She had been alone for quite a few months trying her best to do all that needed to be done.  Lots of paper work, lots of messages to be sent to this place and that place…trying to keep everything in balance.  It was a big job for such a little ovary.

One day, she noticed that she was getting a little tired. She just couldn’t keep up.  Didn’t matter how much over time she put in…there was always more to do.  She kept (more…)

Ahhhhhh the beautiful fragrance of a fresh new year!  I can smell it in the air.  I can hear folks talking about it in line at the store.  I hear adds on TV pumpin’ it up….

We love a clean slate.  We love a do over.  We love the opportunity to bring new energy to something that we want.

Here is a beautiful clean slate…January 1st 2009….all fresh…waiting for the master piece to be painted.

So, how do we honor the energy of a clean slate without covering it with a bunch of garbage? (more…)

Wishing you a warm and cozy holiday season~

Peace and Love,

Lynne
