I woke up this morning to a gorgeous scene outside our bedroom window.  More snow had fallen while we slept and as the sun came up…the whole road had this amazing glow.  It just took my breath away.   This scene also seems to have taken my ability to think away because the next minute I turned towards the hall and did a running slide.  Forgetting that my foot was still recovering from this weekends skipping accident.

All I can say is that I never fully realized that my moments of joy are followed by either skipping, singing or sliding on the wood floors with my socks on…or a combination of the three. (more…)

Hi there!

My fella and I were out on a walk this last weekend.  We were both chatting about how relieved we are that our bankruptcy is all over.  Yes folks…we are now officially bankrupt!

We went to court on Friday and the trustee was a very kind, compassionate man.  He asked what brought us to this situation. I told him what happened with the insurance company…he just shook his head.  He said that he is hearing this more and more. Insurance companies denying payment due to “pre-existing conditions”  which we all know…can mean ANYTHING! (more…)

I love trees.  The ones in my own yard feel like friends, loyal friends.  I can count on them greeting me and mine at the opening of blinds each morning and then standing watch in the dark while we sleep.  Once lightening struck our grand willow.  I cried at its breaking and rejoiced at learning that half of her could be saved.
