Hi there everyone~

I have recently begun a 6 month journey with Rue Hass called “Re-imagining your life.” The focus of this journey is to re- write…re- create…re- imagine a new story for your life.   And to take action and actually step into it :) Yikes!  We are a small group of visionaries who will be re-imagining a specific area of our lives together. Which is really cool~  I like the group energy!

I am going to be focusing on my work in the world.

I need help to even be able to re-imagine this.

Maybe those of you who have a chronic illness can relate. (more…)

Here ya go…

One thing they never tell you about child raising is that for the rest of your life, at the drop of a hat, you are expected to know your child’s name and how old he or she is.

Erma Bombeck

This is very true.  My son just had a birthday….and for the life of me I forgot how old he is.  Then once I remembered, I realized why I forgot.

He is 25 years old.

25 years old.

I have a 25 year old son.

Seriously?

How the hell did that happen?

My other son…is 2 years younger…he is lucky cuz I can always subtract by 2:)  Well, maybe not always!

He turns 23 in a week or so.  The date slipped my mind….well, it didn’t slip my mind…it just disappeared from my mind.  Lucky for him…I wrote it down in my calendar with a big heart right next to his name.

Happy birthday my two fabulous sons….

I love you both to reeses pieces :)

“Can I help you Miss?”

Yep…he called me “Miss”!  Can you believe it?  I haven’t been called Miss for quite some time.

So, what was that all about?

Did he need his glasses prescription changed?

Maybe.

Was he just being polite?

Hmmmm….not sure.

Did his mom tell him how much women ‘of a certain age’ love being called Miss?

Possibly.

Did he really think I looked like a Miss?

Could be. (more…)

Well, Kids…Quote Friday is back.  I know you have been waiting for it’s return with baited breath!

So…without further ado…

Here ya go…

Arthur: You know, it’s at times like this, when I’m trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space, that I really wish I’d listened to what my mother told me when I was young.

Ford: Why, what did she tell you?

Arthur: I don’t know, I didn’t listen.

Hitchhikers Guide :)

We woke up this morning to the song of a robin.  I hadn’t heard that sound for months.  This bird had perched itself on the branch of the tree outside our window.  It just sang away…top of it’s lungs…not holding back.

As I listened to the song, my mind drifted to all the new flowers that I am dreaming about planting…the new beds that I want to create.  I could clearly see the flowers in full bloom.  I could smell the fragrant earth. I imagined the fresh flowers that I will pick to fill up all the vases that will be placed in all the rooms of our house.

So imagine my shock when I got up and opened the curtains expecting a full blown spring experience…instead of color bursting forth…snow is still on the ground.  Trees still look dormant.  The ground is still quiet on the surface. I had a moment of confusion.  But, then I heard the robin again.  It was hoping around on the ground…singing about something.  (more…)

I am very disappointed to tell you that I am now a statistic.  I mean…I have been all year.  I have been in denial about this particular fact.

I have always prided myself in the story that I have experiences that only a small amount of other people have ever had.  And in my crazy made up inner world…I tell myself that I am one of the few to experience so many of them….and still be standing…sorta straight (I do have a bit of a down turn to my shoulders!).   A wee bit of my ego has been tied into this!

I guess what I am trying to say here is that I have never ever ever been a middle of the roader.  Ever.  Not even as a kid.  I tend to be more of a fringe kind of gal.  And yes, I even had a purple fringe suede jacket some years ago that I wore with my fringe moccasin boots.   😉 (more…)
